  at the end of the day, this case will reach few JWs heads and hearts. They are lost souls mostly, unhelpable, unreachable. Their cherished Jehovah has been slandered and they must go in bat for him because he remains silent.

  It will matter to the public though, whether it gets one days mention or one months. The public have heard bad things about Jehovah's witnesses and the more that happens the fewer will listen to them.

  I know that many people in my life have seen heard enough from my ex and from me to never give them an ear.

  We must expect moronic comments and accusations, they know no better poor things.

  I see it mattering not that the appeal could reduce the payout, i don't think it went all the way to trial and jury for $$. and if the WT gets it reduced it will make them look even worse in the public eye. What JWs think does not matter. The public reaction may well be felt in 'conversions' slowing faster than ever.

  I hope this opens the floodgates of victims no longer accepting settlements and all seeking judgement.

  just emailed the ABC and asked why not...and suggested they do some googling, and visit silent lambs.

  as well as suggested they also investigate why the victorian working with children case was deemed not in the public interest.
